Why my lip balm is different

Made for dry Denver air
I make Merigold in Denver, where the air is dry and my lips feel it all year. I wanted a lip balm that feels luxurious, lasts, and actually keeps up. So I made my own.
What's different
A lot of traditional lip balms, even clean ones, are built on coconut oil. It just didn't give the level of hydration I wanted. So I built mine around nourishing, hydrating butters and oils instead.
| A typical lip balm | Merigold | |
|---|---|---|
| Base | Coconut oil | Camellia, avocado, jojoba and castor oils with mango butter, mostly certified organic |
| Wax | Often beeswax | Plant-based candelilla and rice bran wax |
| Scent | Often flavour oils | A light hint of essential oils, no synthetic fragrance |
| Feel | Luxurious and long-lasting |

A lighter scent, on purpose
Lips are delicate, so I'm careful with fragrance. My scents are soft and come only from essential oils.
