March is the first month of Spring! It is also a time where we start to see the little changes, the days are getting longer, the weather is starting to be a little more unpredictable, it is the beginning of a season where everything awakens. This season can also be a time where we start to tend and listen to what our bodies are telling us. Just like the earth around us we too can begin to awaken. This Shamrock Shake not only goes along with the season but is also nourishing and loving to our bodies.

Better for you Shamrock Shake Recipe
½ c. Cashews (soaked in hot water for 30 minutes)
3/4 c. Nut Milk
2 c. Frozen Spinach
1 tsp. Peppermint extract
1 Tbps Cacao Nibs or mini chocolate chips
1 Frozen Banana
½ tsp Spirulina (optional)
Drain soaked cashews and add all ingredients to the blender. Blend till have a smooth consistency. If you like your shake a bit thicker you can add a handful of ice and blend.
Spinach: This green leaf is a powerhouse. Packed with calcium, manganese, and vitamin K which are needed for healthy bones. It also supports immune and skin health by being dense in Vitamin A and C.
Cacao Nibs: Made from Cacao beans that are fermented, cracked, and roasted these little nibs are packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Rich in the minerals magnesium (our body has over 300 functions that require this mineral), copper, manganese, and zinc.
